Fellowships and the 22nd Anniversary of Sekolah Pelangi Kasih

Sekolah Pelangi Kasih holds the chapel in celebrating the anniversary of the school and the beginning of the new academic year. This chapel is followed by the staff and teachers of Sekolah Pelangi Kasih on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.

We are grateful for God’s blessing that we are all here. We hope God will be the foundation and strength for Sekolah Pelangi Kasih in educating students according to God’s will.

Ms. Charlotte Priatna M.Pd. leads the chapel with the topic “The Commitment and the Calling of Christian Teacher”. It begins with the problems like students who get failing score and how a teacher should handle the complaints from parents about it.The paradox makes it difficult for teachers to act accordingly. But we are grateful that as a Christian, we have God who keeps guiding and helping us to be a teacher who is afraid of God. We are not looking for achievement but to serve.

She also tells about the purpose of our life, “To have, To do, To be? How a lifestyle and the character of a teacher should be, what the purpose of God in our life is”. Isaiah 50:4 : “The Sovereign LORD has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed”. Teachers are not only teaching but must also be taught, criticized and told to use their lives for God’s Glory in their profession as teachers. We are really grateful for 22 years that God gives and entrusts the staff and teachers in the middle of us.

We are really grateful and thankful. We hope that Sekolah Pelangi Kasih keeps growing according to God’s Will. We hope that our wish and prayer are granted and we leave everything in God’s hands.
