Primary 3 Parenting

Sekolah Pelangi Kasih holds the parenting meeting for Primary 3 students’ parents from September 4 to September 14, 2018. This activity is held at Sekolah Pelangi Kasih and starts with prayer.

The purpose of this meeting is to support parents educating their children. Each of the parents has their own way in educating their children, however, it is not certain that it will suit the attitude and character of the children. Sekolah Pelangi Kasih will share the effective way to treat their children.

Educating the children is the order that God gives according to His will, it is stated in Proverb 22:6 and Psalm 127:4. Parents are also given the chance to know the kinds of treatment to children are and also evaluate themselves to know their kind of treatment.

It is explained that there are 4 kinds of treatments. They are Authoritarian, Permissive, Uninvolved, Authoritative. The best treatment is Authoritative because of all the rules and problems that children have, parents need to discuss and make a deal with the children in making the rules. When the children are having a problem, parents need to listen their children’s story so that the parents can help, motivate and gives input in solving the problem. 

After the parenting material is given, every parent is given the chance to ask and tell their problem in treating their children. We also present homeroom teacher so parents can interact directly to know their children progress at school outside the academic aspect.

We hope that parents can become partner with Sekolah Pelangi Kasih in   educating their children through this activity. It is hoped that every child has a good character and attitude so that the children can grow and live according to God’s will.

The activity is ended with question and answer session for parents and closed with prayer. We hope that we can help parents in educating and guiding their children. God Bless.
