Primary 1 Parenting

Sekolah Pelangi Kasih holds the parenting meeting for P1 parents from August 27- September 3, 2018. This parenting is held at Sekolah Pelangi Kasih and begins with prayer.

This activity, held together with parents, has the purpose of preparing parents in teaching their children at home, how to teach children about obedience and its consequences if children are not taught since early age. The easiest way to teach children about obedience is by motivating them, giving them reward if they accomplish their duties and telling them the consequences if they are not obedient.

After presenting the parenting topic, every parent is given the chance to ask and tell their difficulties in teaching obedience to their children at home. Parents are also told why we demand our children to be obedient. What kind of obedience that we ask from our children. What the standard of the obedience is. How we teach our children to become obedient because they want to not of fear. We also present the homeroom teacher so that parents can talk directly about their children’s development at school aside from academic aspect.

We realize that each of us will experience this and it is hoped that we can handle it early so that children can grow healthy and live according to God’s Will.

The parenting is ended with question and answer session for parents and is closed with prayer. We hope that this activity can help parents teach and guide their children. God bless.
